Your plan

How long does a plan take?

About a minute, sometimes up to two. Keep the app open while Cookingly plans your week. If it takes too long, you'll see a Try again button; your answers are kept.

How do I change my answers?

Open the You tab and tap Change my answers. Cookingly then plans a new week from them.

I don't like one of the dinners

Open that night and tap Swap. Tell Cookingly why, pick one of three new ideas, and the grocery list updates by itself.

Allergies

Cookingly keeps the allergies you tell it out of your plan, but it can't guarantee a dish is free of an allergen. Always check the labels on packaged foods: brands change their recipes.

Prices

Grocery prices in the app are estimates for your store. Your real total may be a little different.

Subscription and free trial

How do I cancel?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Cookingly, and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or current period ends to avoid being charged. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.

Will I be reminded before my trial ends?

Yes. Cookingly sends a reminder two days before your free trial ends, as a notification (if you allowed notifications) and by email (if you saved your week with your email).

I paid, but the app asks me to subscribe again

On the subscription screen, tap Restore. Make sure you're signed in to the App Store with the same Apple account you paid with.

How do I get a refund?

Payments go through Apple, so refunds do too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your account and data

New phone?

If you saved your week with your email, open Cookingly on the new phone, tap I already have an account and enter your email. Your week comes back.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open the You tab and tap Delete my account. This deletes your account and its saved data right away. It doesn't cancel an Apple subscription (see above). You can also email support@cookingly.app and ask us to delete it.
